This COMcheck does not appear to have been properly completed to demonstrate the project is complying with section C405.5.2 of the 2012 VECC. The COMcheck must include all new lighting and existing lighting to remain for the area that is being altered. The 2012 IECC allows for areas to be exempted from the calculation when less than 50% of the lighting is modified. However, the IECC is not the governing code in Virginia, the 2012 Virginia Energy Conservation Code is the governing code. This code does not provide the "50% exemption" language in Chapter 1. In the resubmission, include all existing to remain and new lighting in a revised COMcheck.
